Sometimes you just can't get in to see the doctor. You may be too busy, your doctor's too far away – or you may prefer to stay in the comfort of your own home or office.

LiveHealth Online is an internet based communication tool intended to facilitate health care services rendered by physicians to you, the consumer. It allows you to get online care by connecting you with doctors over the internet. It's private, secure, and easy to use. You can talk with doctors seven days a week by using two-way video.

Doctors can review your health history, answer questions and prescribe medications if medically appropriate. After each session, you have the option to send a detailed record to your regular doctor. You will also be asked to rate your experience with the doctor and the LiveHealth Online tool. Doctors' ratings are displayed in star fashion on their profile page.

LiveHealth Online should not be used for emergency care. If you experience a medical emergency call 911 immediately.

In some states, the rules and regulations prohibit a prescription to be generated as a result of an online visit. Additionally, doctors using LiveHealth Online are not allowed to issue prescriptions for controlled substances or lifestyle drugs.
